MY APPROACH TO THERAPY
People don’t come to therapy because they’re broken.
They come because the world is. When systems fail, people are left carrying stress, disconnection, and exhaustion that were never meant to be held alone. That’s not a personal failure.
It makes sense. And it’s something we can work through together.

Our work starts with understanding how your experiences have shaped you. Many of the patterns people struggle with make sense in the context of environments that were invalidating, overwhelming, or unsafe. Much of my work centers on complex, relational, and developmental trauma. These are the kinds of experiences that shape how you see yourself, relate to others, and move through the world.

This often shows up for people who are neurodivergent, experience intense emotions, or hold marginalized identities. Not because something is wrong with you, but because of what you have had to adapt to.

I don’t separate mental health from the realities of the world we live in. Systems, identity, and lived experience all matter here. Therapy is inherently political, whether it’s named or not. We are living through a time of deep uncertainty, both nationally and globally. It makes sense if you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stretched thin. You don’t have to carry that alone.
My work is grounded in a liberation-focused, social justice, and humanistic lens. I hold a deep personal and professional commitment to protecting and advocating for marginalized communities, and to providing care that is anti-oppressive and culturally responsive.

I see therapy as both relational and practical. The relationship matters, and so do tools. I show up as a real person in the room. Not distant, not robotic. I hold clear professional boundaries, but I am engaged, invested, and in your corner. Our work is collaborative, direct, and focused on helping you actually move forward.

I specialize in working with people navigating trauma, emotional intensity, and complicated or chaotic relationships. Especially if you have ever felt like you are “too much,” different, or hard to understand. You are not. You likely just have not had the right support.

My approach is integrative and tailored to you. I draw from DBT, EMDR, parts work, psychodymanic, somatic therapy, and relational approaches to help you untangle patterns, regulate your nervous system, and build skills that actually stick.
We will do real work. That means compassion, accountability, skill-building, and yes, sometimes humor.

You are not broken. You are responding to what you have been through. And you don’t have to figure it out alone.
