Understanding Your Insurance and
Payment Options
Most insurance plans include mental health benefits, which means therapy is often covered! In many cases, you’ll need to pay a co-pay or meet a deductible for each session, similar to how it works when you visit your doctor.

To make sure you’re prepared, it’s a good idea to check with your insurance company and ask:
-
Do I owe a co-pay or deductible for therapy sessions? If so, how much?
-
Is the therapist I’d like to see “in-network”?

If I'm not “in-network,” don’t worry—ask your insurance provider about your
“out-of-network” benefits. Sometimes, it’s still very affordable to see the therapist you prefer!

If you’re employed, you can also check with your HR department to see if your employer offers Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits. EAPs typically provide free therapy sessions.

If you don’t have insurance, you’re welcome to pay out-of-pocket for sessions.

Knowing Your Coverage
While I’m happy to help with questions where I can, it’s ultimately your responsibility to understand your insurance coverage.
Be sure to check with your insurance provider to confirm the details of your plan, including co-pays, deductibles, and whether I’m in-network or out-of-network.
Taking these steps will help avoid surprises and make the process smoother for both of us!

I’m here to help make this process as stress-free as possible, so don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
